Service Call Fee

  • Standard Service Call: $149 (Includes trip fee, diagnostic fee, and first hour of labor)
  • After-Hours Service Call: $249 (5 PM – 9 PM & Weekends, includes first hour of labor)
  • Additional Labor: $149 per hour for the first hour, then $125 per hour after that (unless overtime rates apply)

Many companies advertise a low service call fee but fail to mention a 1-hour minimum labor charge that ranges from $125 to $198 per hour. Our pricing is upfront and all-inclusive, covering the technician’s trip, diagnostics, and first hour of labor.

Preventative Maintenance

  • First System: $198
  • Each Additional System: $149

Our deep-dive maintenance isn’t just about a quick check-up—we proactively clean, inspect, and replace weak components to prevent unexpected breakdowns. This includes:

  • Cleaning coils
  • Replacing weak contactors & capacitors
  • Checking thermostat settings & wiring
  • Inspecting safety float switches & system configurations

Some owners service their systems once a year, while others choose 2-4 times per year for peak performance. We offer pay-as-you-go maintenance, but we’re also considering a subscription model where unused funds can roll over as Service Diagnostic Credits.

Repair Pricing

We categorize our repairs into tiered levels based on complexity and parts cost:

Low-Level Repairs – $149

(+$149 service/diagnostic fee if no maintenance plan)

  • Contactors
  • Capacitors
  • Start assist kits
  • Safety float switches
  • Minor wire repairs

Mid-Level Repairs – $299-$499

(Requires specialized parts and skill, includes labor)

  • Universal blower motors
  • Condenser fan motors
  • Welding/brazing & vacuum fees

Over 90% of all repairs fall into these two categories.

High-Level Repairs – $1,999 +

(Extensive labor and high-cost parts)

  • Evaporator coil replacement
  • Compressor replacement

OMG-Level Repairs – Custom Quote

(Extensive system failures, often near replacement cost)

  • Expensive board replacements
  • Multiple major component failures
  • Typically a system replacement is recommended at this stage

Luxury Short-Term Rental Expertise

Most of our work is in luxury short-term rental cabins in Hochatown. These properties often have unique challenges:

  • Difficult working conditions (ladders, tight spaces, etc.)
  • Guest coordination & minimal downtime

We understand that keeping your guests happy is critical, and our team is trained to work efficiently, professionally, and with full respect for your property.

So many HVAC service calls even if you need a repair will cost less than $500. In 2024 almost 80% of service calls, Most Service Calls and Repairs cost less than $300.

  • High Level Repairs require highly skilled and expertly trained technicians. Thankfully we have them. To make high level repairs properly, requires expensive niche tools designed for a specific purpose. Some tools that might be required are vaccuum pumps that help remove moisture and non condensibles from refrigerant circuits. Other tools like brazing torches and digital gauges help make sure the High Level Repairs are done properly. There are best industry practices with regards to high level repairs and sadly not all companies follow the rules. At Hocha Cool we attempt to put the system back in original working condition. High Level Repairs Cost $1999 + when the parts are under warranty and are always quoted when they are not under warranty.

High Level Repairs like compressors or evaporator coil replacements require serious attention to details. Sure you can have the company that put it in do the repair, but lets be honest, if the system is a few years old and already needs major repairs made, it likely wasn’t installed properly to begin with. Trust them if you want, but it is likely another poor repair will be made, caused by their poor installation and your money will need to be spent again a few years from now for the same type of repairs.

You will be able to answer a few questions, select your system, and Apply for financing, or pay with a credit card online and schedule a walk through to confirm everything will go smooth. After over 20 years being in the air conditioning business proper planning really makes the installation great every time. We have a team of project managers that can look at your project and make sure the system you have selected can be installed at your location. Here are some of the things we look for:

  • Electrical Power Supply and Wiring Size
  • Type of Existing System, ( Heatpump, Natural Gas, Propane, Etc)
  • Refrigerant Line Size
  • Return Size and Filtration Type
  • Actual Space and Location of Current System (Not All Systems Are The Same Size)
  • Thermostat Wiring Type and Location ( New Systems Sometimes Need More Wires, Can We Add A Wire? Do We Need A Special Thermostat etc)
  • Some Places Requires Outside AC systems to be hid behind walls or bushes. ( Can we get the old one out and the new one in?)
  • Disconnect Boxes and Safety Switches ( We bring things up to code to make it safe. Do we need some extra stuff)

Most jobs require no or minor changes and often have a lower cost than the online price! Hocha Cool is always looking for ways to save customers time and money. The online price is a close estimate and the final price will be dertermined by the actual costs to install the complete system. Most installations actually costs less than the online estimated price. The online estimate is a great price to use for a budget when planning an air conditioning system replacement in Oklahoma.
